Chive On! (with this excellent version of Green Goddess Dressing)

Do you have one of those never ending, mental to-do lists? Doesn't everybody? Well, these days mine is overloaded with chives. Chive blossom vinegar - done. Dried chives - done. Split the chives...err, uh maybe tomorrow. Find a way to use all these chives! Done, and done. This recipe from is a new favorite. I hope you like it as much as we do.


Green Goddess Chive Dressing


1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

1/3 cup chopped fresh chives

1 green onion - chopped

1 clove garlic, peeled

1 tablespoon tarragon vinegar (I like more to create a thinner dressing)

1 teaspoon chopped fresh tarragon

1 teaspoon white sugar

1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce



In a blender or food processor, combine mayonnaise, sour cream, chives, green onion, garlic, vinegar, tarragon, sugar and Worcestershire sauce and blend until smooth. Season to taste with salt and pepper. Cover and refrigerate until serving. It will keep up to three days in the refrigerator.
